John Courts was born in Somersetshire, England and died 1697. He married a woman named Margaret.

Issues:
John Courts born 1655 and died 1702. He married Charity Henely.

There is a lengthy history of the COURTS Family in Margaret Campbell Piltcher's Historical Sketches of the Campbell, Piltcher and Kindred Families Including the Bowen, Russell, Owen, Grant, Goodwin, Amis, Carothers, Hope, Taliaferro, and Powell Families (Nashville: Marshall & Bruce Co., 1911) pp.311-316.
